This guy had a great speech. He talked about
having fun and letting go. Andy had good pathos and logos. He knew his audience and came with the right approach. He had proper appearence, grammar and body language. He refered to people and his own life. He was entertaining and alot of people enjoyed his speech.

Andy have great ethos he really got the crowd going. He so lots of Pathos about him being too serious. Theres was some logos but not a lot. He had no prblem talking to the crowd really show energy in his speech. Add humor to keep the crowd awake so his speech wasn’t dull and his audience wouldn’t fall asleep.he made good eye contract to alll his audience. Dress for the part to explain his speech

I thought that this was a pretty interesting speech. He was fun, spontaneous and really “out there”. I think that we should all have this quality in us to make our speeches more interesting. It might be hard to acquire but like Andy dooley stated “We got to let it happen”. I would really like to one day be able to be as comftorable as he is in front of a large crowd. I think that by taking speech class i will be able to “let it happen”. I’m looking forward to this class and what i will get from it.

In the video that I just saw I’ve learned that you should let go and let it happen. I also learned that you should be comfortable speaking infront of an audience. The speaker did seem very comfortable while giving out his speech. He didn’t look nervous and presented it well.He knew what he wanted people to hear. This makes an effective speech because he introduced himself in a proper manner and he started his speech with a question and then he started answering it.

What I noticed about Andy Dooley and him giving a speech was his ability to get the audience involved. He would use hand motions and ask the audience questions inorder to get them to listen and to keep them interested. He would add different elements into his speech such as humor inorder to keep the audience entertained and to keep them interested. Andy was dressed very proffesionaly but had an act going for him. He put himself as the punch line in his joke inorder to bond better with his audience. Using analogies and word play helped me picture exactly what is going on in his life and what problems hes facing. Not only did he metion his problem he talked about what he was like before it, how he got it, and how he over came it. Then he told the people that they too can overcome their problems that they are facing by justing having an aditude adjustment.

This speech has a great message to not be to serious and to let go of your insecurities and let what’s going to happen happen . I think this speech will help me to relax more and not be so uptight when writing my speech to not be afraid to go over the top. This speech makes me want to change how much I move around while giving my speech ,the way Andy Dooley was always moving made his whole audience feel they were important. I thought that Andy Dooley had a great connection to his audience they never lost interest in what he was saying .The way he keep repeating I had a serious problem was funny enough to keep the audience into what he had to say with out distracting from his message. I liked the way he used lots of examples and his whole body to get his point across . What makes this an effective speech is that the speaker got his message throw and in a way that didn’t make his audience fall asleep. This was one of the best speeches I’ve ever heard it teaches a lesson worth knowing and was interesting while learning it.

This video to me is good because he is speaking in front of a group of people and he is prepared to. He is also relaxed and enjoying speaking to others which tells me that anyone can speak to anyone they just need to know what to say and how they will say it. What Andy talks about is how he got to be so successful in life just by speaking to people in seminars and it gave him the confidence to be such a great motivative speaker. Andy did catch my eye and I am looking forward to becoming a better speaker infront of a crowd or group. He has also inspired me to major in communication in college.

well to start out the guy stated off slow and bizarre, kinda not knowing what to do next. he starts out turning his speech into some form of entertainment. he’s acting so the audience can get a more visual of what he’s saying. he gives examples of what had happened to him. hes talking about succes and failure. of how there are oppurtunities and that anyone can make it. he gets his crowd involved towards the end. his speech turns out to be succesful and had a clear message

I like this speech because he is very funny in his speech and connects to the audience by talking about his childhood& talks in metaphors and funny sayings that make the crowd laugh and make then interested in what he is saying. Even though he is in the attire that sees him as formal , he is more like a comedian doing a speech. He always makes eye contact and doesnt talk in monotone and talks like hes having a conversation with one of his friends and telling them a story of wat happened last weekend. He is a very good speaker.

The speaker did a really great job. He didn’t seem nervous at all. I think this wasn’t his first time presenting and he probably practices alot. I liked his performace because he kept my eyes on him. He did alot of movements with his hands and moved around alot. He was also pretty funny and at the end made the audice part of his presentation. Hopefully ill do a great job standing infront of people like he did.

I am so proud of all of these comments. There were some technical difficulties getting them to appear, but now they are here and you all should be proud of yourself for doing the homework. I’m hoping that most homework assignments will be this enjoyable. There was only one post with serious grammar and spelling errors. I will talk to that person individually. Remember, you are representing yourself in a positive way when you use the conventions of standard English.

i think the speech that that andy dooley delivered was good. You can really tell that he is very comfortable and well prepared. He used his own expreriences as examples. he was using hand gestures that shows actions to keep the peoples attention. he also used jokes that kept the listeners entertained and not bored. i hope that by the end of this class, i will be as confident like andy dooley. im really looking forward to be more comfortable with public speaking.

I think Andy Dooley is a very great speeker and you can tell right away that he nows what he is doing. The thing I liked about the speech was that he had his technique of keeping the audience going and having a great time. The phrase that caught my attention was ” Let Go And Let It Happen ” -Andy Dooley, thats a very great caption and he kept talking about it with very interesting thoughts. He’s a great speaker that nows what he is doing. I think something that I learned that will help me in Speech class will be that not to stop in front of a speech and to keep going. To catch the viewers mind and to not bore them. But im looking forward to this class.

Andy Dooley, caught everybodies atention, his self-confidense and body language helped him alot. Specially his facial expression where the ones that caught my atention and i also think te rest of us. THIS video helps alot, on making us see what we really can do in fron of people when speaking. Hopefully this class helps me to do better in talking on front of people.

I think it is true that people are more afraid of public speaking then death itself. I think it’s true because I am one of them.I get really nervous when I have to go up and present some thing. I don’t know why but it’s just the way I am in the school, the streets or everywhere I am at. I am not scared, some times it is just that I don’t like to do it. I think people are scared to speak publicly because they see so many faces in which they don’t know. Me personaly that is the reason I am scared to speak in front of people.

Andy Dooley is a very good speaker. I could definitely tell that he clearly stated an introduction, body, and conclusion. I noticed this because in his conclusion he stated his problem and how he recovered from it and then asked the audience have you ever had a serious problem which was also stated in his introduction. You can definitely tell that he was prepared and practiced his speech because he didn’t seem nervous, or hesitant to speak. He wants the audience to let go and let it happen.

Anyone can tell right off the back that Andy Dooley is a great speaker. He feels comfortable enough to role play a different character infront of an audience he doesn’t know, which is harder for most. I saw that he paused, used hand gestures and spoke loudly for his audience. He got his audience involved in his speech and seemed as though he kept them interested the whole time. He was extremely energetic with all of his body moments and raped up his speech very well as though to keep his audience still wanting more.

I like this speech. He is very relaxed and easy going, his body gestures are also also helping the audience to visualize the concept of his speech. He takes humor to keep the audience interested and uses metaphors to help him explain himself. I can also tell he acts very confident even if he’s not and keeps moves around the stage to keep all his audience hooked even though he is not looking at them but the wall. This speech will help me better understand how to deliver a speech and how to act once on the spotlight.
